Hurtin' Units vs. The Shake and Bake

Hurtin' Units lose 21-18

Team Record – 10-11-0

Keogh Park – I must admit, I completely forgot about this game. Looking back at the game sheet, I recall that it was a back-and-forth game, with both teams taking the lead at various times. In the end, the Shake and Bake would prevail, but it would not be enough for them to regain the top of the standings. 

 

One of the coolest things about this game was that both teams had their full rosters. Not a sub to be seen anywhere on the field. It's been a long time, since last year's playoffs, that both teams have had a full roster. Cool stuff.

This game was supposed to be the final game of the regular season and our first time playing the Shake and Bake. We waited for the entire season for this game, and it did not disappoint. It was a good game, and the score was close - what more could we ask for? This game did not turn out to be our final game. Our game last week vs. The Meatballs was rained out and rescheduled for Wednesday, August 27th. The Meatballs hold the top spot in the league and could clinch the league title with a win; the Units could be the spoilers. Go Units!!
